What do Papayya clients say about live online personal training?

Feb 8, 2025

I really enjoyed using the Papayya!
‍
I really enjoyed using Papayya. I would definitely recommend to family and friends. The sessions were personalized to meet my needs. The trainer was very friendly and helpful. She gave me feedback on how to make improvements. Although I was not sure if I would be able to complete the exercises, my trainer let me workout at my own pace.

I would absolutely recommend Papayya, 10/10!
‍
I was surprised to say that I found the online training more effective than in person sessions I’ve had (...) My Papayya trainer Louis has real in depth background and was able to spot within the first assessment some physical imbalances that have caused me pain and discomfort for years. That definitely exceeded what I though was possible with online sessions.

At almost 42, I can confidently say that I am in the best shape of my life, thanks to Papayya.
‍
I have been using the Papayya online personal training service for several months now, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Louis, my trainer, takes the time to understand my fitness objectives and designs personalized workout plans that challenge me while ensuring I remain injury-free. His expertise and attention to detail have allowed me to take my workouts to the next level. The convenience of having a dedicated trainer who can adjust my routines based on my progress and needs has been a game-changer.

I was very impressed that an online trainer can do so much, this truly exceeded my expectations.
‍
I highly recommend Papayya online personal training for its convenience and excellent service. I found my trainer to be very professional, qualified and knowledgeable. I have been a member of several gyms and had sessions with personal trainers in the past, but this was the first one to immediately identify imbalances that I’ve been having due to my desk job and that have been causing me pain and discomfort for years.

Exceeded every expectation and confident I made the right choice.
‍
Been wanting to get beyond my Peloton and ramp up my exercise program but as someone self employed in an international company that works round the clock it's just not possible to keep a stabile work out routine. Papayya's flexibility in scheduling and a vast selection of trainers ensured there's always availability so I decided to give it a shot. Exceeded every expectation and confident I made the right choice.

It's a great way to work with a personal trainer from the comfort from your home!
‍
I had a wonderful first experience with Papayya. I love the pricing, it's extremely affordable making personal training more accessible especially for older people who may not be able to leave their homes. What I liked the most was the initial evaluation of posture and gait. I've never had any trainers do that previously

Papayya is an excellent choice
‍
My trainer was very engaging and showed expertise of the program. He showed me clear instructions to ensure I was exercising effectively and safely. Also, because of our busy schedules, Papayya would be perfect because you can work out anytime and anywhere. Sticking to your workout routine would be a lot easier.

Its a great online fitness platform. I was pretty impressed.
‍
Mostly, I liked the flexibility in scheduling the session which can easily fit in your day. The virtual trainer was as effective as the physical one and I would even say, it was much better. She had in depth knowledge about both fitness and nutrition required for maintaining healthy lifestyle. My trainer pointed out the posture mistakes I was doing while exercising.

Papayya exceeded my expectation!
‍
Papayya is essentially tele-training. You interact with a live personal trainer through a video call. The workout was a little under an hour, but it really pushed me to the limits. More importantly, I learned that my form was incorrect for some of the exercises I do every day!
I think Papayya is an excellent idea executed with high quality.

Papayya online personal training FAQs

Check out our faqs.

  • What is an online personal trainer?

An online personal trainer is a certified fitness professional who guides and supports you in real-time throughout your entire workout via live 1-1 video calls. Unlike traditional coaches who may only provide workout plans or occasional check-ins, our trainers are fully present during each session to correct your form, motivate you and adapt exercises to your needs, ensuring a safe, effective and personalized fitness experience.

  • Is virtual personal training worth it?

Yes, for most people. With Papayya your trainer watches and corrects you live. Read real Papayya reviews and see what Reddit says about online personal trainers.
    Virtual Personal Trainer Reviews

  • Is a live online personal trainer better than a fitness app?

For accountability and form, usually yes. Papayya sessions are live 1-on-1 video calls, so your trainer watches every rep, corrects your form in real time and adjusts the workout as you go. Many online coaching apps send a weekly plan, then check in by message or review recorded videos later. With Papayya, every session is a scheduled appointment with a real person, and across 266 clients Papayya reports 90% session attendance and 65% retention after 12 months. Every trainer is a vetted member of the Papayya team, not a marketplace profile.

  • Will the trainers correct my exercise techniques and observe my performance?

Absolutely! Our certified trainers will provide real-time feedback and correct your exercise techniques during sessions to ensure you get the most out of each workout.

  • I've never been to the gym and don't know how to do exercises properly. Can I still participate?

Of course! Papayya trainers work with all fitness levels, including complete beginners. They guide you step by step, watch your form live and correct your technique in real time, and tailor each workout to your current fitness level.

  • Can I fit Papayya sessions around a busy work schedule?

Yes. Papayya offers 24-hour open scheduling, so you can book live 1-on-1 sessions early in the morning, at lunch or late in the evening. Sessions come in 30, 45 or 60-minute lengths, and a 30-minute session from home removes the commute entirely. Clients in demanding roles and different time zones use Papayya because a wide choice of trainers keeps availability open. You can easily reschedule a session directly on the platform with 8h notice.

  • Can Papayya trainers help women through perimenopause and menopause?

Yes. Papayya trainers include specialists in women’s health and active aging who adjust training as hormones change how your body responds to exercise. Sessions typically focus on strength training to protect muscle and bone, mobility, balance and manageable cardio, with intensity adjusted live based on how you feel that day. Because every session is a live 1-on-1 video call, your trainer adapts the plan session by session.

  • Is Papayya a good online personal trainer for adults over 50 or 60?

Yes. Papayya trainers with experience in active aging, chronic disease management and rehabilitation work with adults in their 50s, 60s and beyond. Training focuses on strength, balance, mobility and posture for everyday life, and your first session includes a postural and gait assessment. Sessions run from home over a simple video link, with little or no equipment, which suits clients who prefer not to travel to a gym.

  • Are Papayya online personal trainers certified?

Yes. Every Papayya trainer is certified and holds a college degree in a field such as physiology, sports science, biokinetics or kinesiology, which is a requirement to join the team. Trainers bring between 4 and 20 years of experience, with specialties including orthopaedic rehabilitation, women’s health, active aging, postpartum fitness, posture correction and strength training. All trainers complete regular mandatory training in Papayya’s science-based method.

  • Can I train with Papayya after an injury or with back pain?

Often, yes. Several Papayya trainers are certified in orthopaedic rehabilitation, biokinetics, spinal health and posture correction, and your first session includes a postural assessment so your trainer can plan around limitations. Because sessions are live, your trainer watches your movement and adjusts or replaces exercises that cause discomfort. If you are recovering from an injury or managing chronic pain, check with your doctor or physical therapist before starting a new exercise program.

  • How much does an online personal trainer cost with Papayya?

Papayya live 1-on-1 online personal training costs $23.20 to $41.74 per session at current 2026 promotional rates. The price depends on session length (30, 45 or 60 minutes) and how many sessions you book each week: four 30-minute sessions a week is $23.20 each, while one 1-hour session a week is $41.74. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, requires no credit card to begin, and can be canceled anytime. Each plan covers one person; training with a partner on the same call costs extra.

  • Does Papayya offer a free trial with no credit card required?

Yes. Papayya offers a 14-day free trial of live 1-on-1 online personal training, and you do not need a credit card to start. You answer a few questions, Papayya matches you with a certified trainer, and your first session includes a posture, cardio and fitness assessment with a personalized report. You then train live with your trainer during the trial and decide whether to continue. Plans can be canceled anytime. You need only a phone or laptop and a clear area of about 7ft x 7ft. No equipment is required.

  • Does Papayya have a community?

    Yes! We have a
Virtual Personal Trainer Community on Reddit!

  • Is Papayya a personal trainer marketplace?

No, Papayya is not a marketplace. We don't host independent profiles who run their own programs. Every trainer you work with is a vetted, official member of the Papayya team. This allows us to guarantee consistent quality and the dedicated human accountability we promise.
